Red River Brewing Co., 1200 Marshall Street, knows that your New Year’s Eve is going to be jammed, so they’re starting the festivities early on Eve of Eve.
On Sunday, they’ll be launching their new IPA brew, called, appropriately enough, Eve of Eve. $2 Champagne and food from Fat Calf Boucherie will be available, too. 10:30 a.m.- 8 p.m.
Another ‘pre’ event is at Eldorado Casino and Resort and features Muzikology: The Band. Head over to 451 Clyde Fant Parkway on Sunday, Dec. 30 from 8 p.m. until midnight to hear them play and dance until your feet scream for mercy.
Start your New Year’s Eve at lunch and roll on into the night at Parish Taceaux, 708 Texas Street. PT is offering half all all tequilas and mezcals and $3 taceauxs all day.
The Shreveport Aquarium, 601 Clyde Fant Parkway, welcomes you on NYE with food, fishies and a laser light show. Amuse bouché –Rappahannock Oyster with champagne mignonette and black truffle
First Course choices-Crispy Shrimp with crème fraîche remoulade, pickled green tomato salad with apple, celery and Crystal hot sauce dust- or-Roasted Forrest Mushrooms with brioche French toast, mizuna, farm cheese and absinthe sabayon – or-Seared Scallop with oxtail marmalade and preserved carrots.
Main course choices –Duck Breast with winter vegetables, sweet potato, butter and cane sugar demi-glace- or-Braised Short Rib with smothered potatoes, Swiss chard, and mustard bread crumbs-or-Acorn Squash Cannelloni with house-made pasta, béchamel, almond crumble, and local squash

If you’re looking for a less structured NYE, head over to J.O.S.H. Lounge at 224 Spring Street. They’re planning a Moonlight Masquerade Party complete with music, champagne and prizes for most creative masks. $10, the fun starts at 9 p.m.
Just because it’s NYE doesn’t mean all you want is something to drink! Fatty Arbuckle’s Pub in the Red River District knows this and is planning one of their semi-famous Steak Nights to kick your partying off right. For just $10 (depending on the type of steak), you can enjoy a slab of beef cooked on the grill and a large potato with fixin’s, and of course, lots of liquor is mere steps away. Get there early, supplies are limited. 6 p.m.
Central Station at 1025 Marshall Street, is going to help you kiss 2018 goodbye with a party that begins at 5 p.m. on NYE. Dancing, party favors, a countdown to the New Year with champagne and after the countdown, a drag show. $10.
